Eric Bollens entered the tech consulting scene at a very young age, helping set up and fix computers around the neighborhood by age 12. By 2004, business had taken off and, while attending Crossroads High School, Eric founded Bollens ITS, providing on-site IT assistance and training in the west Los Angeles area. Over time, Bollens ITS expanded to include web application development and deployment, as well as a broader range of design, presentation and logistical services.
Now a sophomore computer science major at UCLA, Eric continues to run Bollens ITS, while also holding a job as a programmer and systems administrator in the high performance computing systems and networking group on campus at UCLA. Eric specializes in dynamic PHP/MySQL web application development and Linux/Apache high availability, high performance deployments, but he also has a wide variety of programming and system architecture experience.
Alex Podobas, a fellow sophomore and programmer analyst in web design, development and operations at UCLA, signed on with Bollens ITS in 2008. He specializes in high quality interactive HTML, JavaScript and Flash design and development. Adobe Creative Suite 4 is Alex's toolbox for crafting custom designs and applying innovative techniques that blend function and form into compellingly informative, operationally reliable and visually appealing web presences.
